Online FIR Filing Procedure in Punjab:
Punjab Police provides online FIR registration facility through their official portal for certain categories of crimes.

Step-by-Step Online Process:
- Visit Portal: Go to punjabpolice.gov.in
- Registration: Create account with mobile/email
- Select Category: Choose appropriate crime category
- Fill Details: Provide incident details, location, time
- Upload Documents: Attach supporting evidence
- Submit: Review and submit application
- Acknowledgment: Receive complaint number/receipt
Required Documents for Theft FIR:

After online submission, if police still dont register FIR then you should send a representation to SSP office requesting for Registration of FIR. If SSP office also dont take action then you have to file an application under 175(3) BNSS for registration of FIR before the local magistrate.
