Consumer complaints can be filed online through the E-Jagriti e-filing portal. Please note, it is always advisable to file your consumer complaint through an experienced advocate to save time and resources.
Consumer Complaint Jurisdiction Based on Claim Value:
- District Forum: Claims up to ₹1 crore
- State Commission: Claims ₹1 crore to ₹10 crores
- National Commission: Claims above ₹10 crores
Step-by-Step Online Consumer Complaint Filing Process:
- Registration: Create account on e-jagriti.gov.in
- Case Details: Fill complainant and opposite party details
- Upload Documents: Purchase receipt, warranty card, correspondence
- Relief Sought: Specify compensation and relief required
- Fee Payment: Pay prescribed court fees online
- E-Verification: Submit with digital signature/OTP
Required Documents:
- Purchase invoice/bill/receipt
- Warranty card and service records
- Product defect photos/videos
- Communication with seller/manufacturer

Court Fees:
- Up to ₹20,000: No fee
