About Abhyudaika
Advocate Abhyudaika Barwal is a Partner Advocate at Metis Law Chamber, a full-service law firm based in the Tricity region of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. She is known for her strong litigation skills, sound legal strategy, and an approach to law that balances technical precision with a deep understanding of human and social realities. Her professional journey reflects a rare blend of courtroom advocacy, policy exposure, and grassroots legal engagement.
Advocate Abhyudaika’s strength lies in her varied and interdisciplinary academic background, which gives her a distinct edge in legal practice. Her training in psychology, law, criminology, and social justice enables her to analyse disputes beyond their surface-level legal issues. This perspective allows her to understand client behaviour, anticipate opposing strategies, assess social impact, and craft arguments that are not only legally sound but also contextually persuasive particularly in sensitive matters involving family disputes, women’s rights, and social justice.
Early in her career, Advocate Abhyudaika worked with the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), where she gained first-hand exposure to policy formulation, regulatory frameworks, and administrative functioning within one of India’s largest municipal bodies. This experience provided her with valuable insight into how government institutions operate, how policies are framed and implemented, and how administrative decisions impact citizens knowledge that continues to inform her handling of cases involving public authorities and regulatory issues.
She has also worked extensively at the grassroots level with KOSHISH, Mumbai, a renowned organisation working with homeless and marginalised populations. As a social worker, she was directly involved in tracing families of homeless individuals and facilitating their rehabilitation and reunification. During this period, she actively engaged in advocacy work concerning the Bombay Prevention of Begging Act, critically examining and highlighting its non-humanitarian consequences. This exposure strengthened her commitment to social justice and sharpened her ability to challenge laws and practices that disproportionately affect vulnerable communities.
She has also contributed to legal scholarship through her Master’s thesis, which focused on an in-depth study of the Legal Aid Mechanism in Himachal Pradesh. The thesis critically analysed the implementation of the Legal Services Authorities Act at the grassroots level, identifying systemic gaps, procedural hurdles, and practical difficulties faced by litigants as well as panel lawyers. This research-oriented approach continues to reflect in her practice, where she places strong emphasis on access to justice, procedural fairness, and effective legal representation.
Motivated by a shared vision to build a modern, client-focused, and ethically driven law firm in the Tricity region, Advocate Abhyudaika joined Advocate Abhishek Soni in establishing Metis Law Chamber. As a Partner Advocate, she plays a key role in shaping the firm’s litigation strategy, professional standards, and client engagement practices, ensuring that the firm delivers reliable, transparent, and result-oriented legal services.
In her litigation practice, Advocate Abhyudaika has appeared and argued matters before the District Courts of Mohali, Chandigarh, and Panchkula, as well as the Punjab & Haryana High Court. She has successfully represented a wide range of clients, including national and international individuals and entities, and has secured favourable orders across diverse categories of cases. Her advocacy is characterised by thorough preparation, clarity of argument, and a firm yet balanced courtroom presence.
Her core areas of practice include family law matters, High Court litigation, social justice and human rights issues, women’s rights and domestic violence cases, consumer disputes, and civil litigation. She is particularly recognised for handling sensitive and complex disputes with discretion, empathy, and legal rigour.
Advocate Abhyudaika Barwal believes that effective legal representation requires more than technical knowledge of statutes and precedents. Her professional philosophy is rooted in integrity, strategic thinking, and a commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of her clients. Through Metis Law Chamber, she continues to strive for legal solutions that are principled, practical, and impactful.
